ZERO TO FAST: CONTROL & REACTION FIRST STEP SPEED CAMP
Feb 17-19 2026 | 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM | UOA (inside Shred2Fit-Vacaville)
Bringing Part 3 of Our Online ZERO TO FAST System to UOA – Vacaville

Our most popular first-step speed system is back — LIVE at University of Athletes.
This 3-day camp is Part 3 of the ZERO TO FAST progression, focused on what separates good athletes from game-changers:
control under pressure, reaction speed, and explosive movement when it matters most.
Athletes will train how to:
-
explode off the first step
-
react instantly to cues and movement
-
change direction at game speed
-
maintain posture and mechanics under fatigue
-
control landings and redirect force efficiently
This camp is perfect for athletes who want their speed to show up in games, not just in drills.
Returning ZERO TO FAST athletes will level up.
New athletes are welcome and will be coached through the system from the ground up.

What Campers Will Train:
-
WHAT ATHLETES WILL TRAIN
-
Train control through landing, immediate reactivity, and directional transitions. Athletes will learn to land with control and explode instantly into their first step, building confidence in transitions from vertical to sprint and lateral to sprint movement.
-
Build quickness out of split stance, sharpen change of direction, and improve reaction timing. This focuses on reacting to movement, cutting at game-speed angles, and transferring power into clean first-step acceleration.
-
Train explosive speed under fatigue while maintaining posture and mechanics. Athletes will learn how to stay fast when tired, improving sprint efficiency, control, and decision-making under pressure.

Why Choose UOA's Zero To Fast: Force Production Speed Camp

🔑Built on the ZERO TO FAST Control & Reaction System
This camp is Part 3 of our nationally used ZERO TO FAST training system, bringing the next phase of the program live to UOA. Athletes build on first-step speed by learning how to control movement, react instantly, and apply speed in real-game situations. New athletes are coached from the ground up.
🔑 Focused on Reaction, Change of Direction & Game-Speed Control
Athletes train the exact qualities that create separation in competition: controlled landings, rapid re-acceleration, quick cut reactions, and first-step speed under pressure. This phase teaches athletes how to stay fast while reacting to movement, opponents, and chaos.
🔑 Coaching That Builds Control, Confidence & Game-Speed Movement
Led by UOA speed coaches, each session blends mechanics, plyometrics, and reaction-based drills. Athletes don’t just move fast — they learn to move with control, awareness, and confidence so their speed shows up when it matters most in games.
The Benefits of ZERO TO FAST: Control & Reaction First-Step Camp
Helps athletes ages 8–17 take their first-step speed to the next level by learning how to control their movement, react instantly, and apply speed under pressure. Built from Part 3 of our nationally used ZERO TO FAST system, this camp teaches athletes how to land with control, redirect force quickly, and accelerate cleanly in real-game situations. Through focused coaching and proven reaction-based drills, athletes leave with sharper change of direction, faster reactions, and the confidence to explode into space when it matters most in competition.
How Does the Zero To Fast: First-Step Speed Camp Work?

Check-In: Athletes should arrive 10 minutes early to check in and receive their UOA camp gear.

Warm-Up Activation: Each session begins with dynamic activation to prep the hips, core, feet/ankles, and nervous system. This primes athletes to control landings, react faster, and move explosively with clean mechanics.

Daily Training Themes: Each day follows a focused theme built from the next progression of our Zero To Fast system:
-
DAY 1 — DROP & GO (Control + Reactivity)
Teaching athletes how to land with control and explode immediately into their first step, building confidence in vertical-to-sprint and lateral-to-sprint transitions. -
DAY 2 — QUICK CUT REACTION
Training sharp change of direction, split-stance explosiveness, and fast reaction timing out of cuts and transitions. -
DAY 3 — FATIGUE SPEED CONTROL
Applying speed under fatigue while maintaining posture, mechanics, and decision-making in game-like situations.

Hands-On Coaching: Athletes rotate through stations targeting:
-
Athletes rotate through stations targeting:
-
First-step explosion
-
Landing control & re-acceleration
-
Reactive decision-making
-
Change of direction at game speed
-
Multi-directional speed with body control

All drills are built on real-game movement patterns with clean mechanical coaching.

Progressive Format:
Each day builds on the last, moving from:
control → reaction → game-speed expression
This mirrors Part 3 of the full ZERO TO FAST progression.

Wrap-Up & Mobility:
We finish each session with short recovery, mobility, and mindset coaching to lock in learning and help athletes apply it immediately in their sport.
